The Yoniverse

One of my dearest friends--wise woman, mother, grandmother and teacher, spoke last week of how 'down there' is actually and in reality 'down here'. Such a simple semantic shift and yet it brings us directly into the immediacy of presence, allowing the body to be a bridge across a kind of felt truth that resists form or interpretation but that language, by its very nature, tends to imbue with boundary, limit.  She suggested that reframing and renaming 'there' to 'here' would dramatically shift how we feel about ourselves, about that vital energy center from which so much life force flows. She dubbed it the Yoniverse. I was inspired...
